Cadenza’s patented SuperCell™ technology stops thermal runaway and cell-to-cell propagation.
More usable energy in a smaller, lighter package. Ideal for yachts, catamarans, and long-range vessels.
Integrated BMS and cell balancing ensure reliability, efficiency, and long service life in real marine conditions.
On land, a battery fire is dangerous. At sea, it can become life-threatening because crew, passengers, propulsion, communications, bilge pumps, refrigeration, navigation electronics, and emergency systems all depend on safe, reliable power inside a confined vessel. The ZeroFlame story is built around Cadenza’s SuperCell™ architecture because it focuses on stopping a cell-level failure from becoming a pack-level fire event.
Standard lithium battery packs can be vulnerable when one cell overheats, is damaged, is overcharged, or develops an internal short. That failure can trigger thermal runaway, where heat and gases from one cell can spread into neighboring cells.
Cadenza’s patented SuperCell™ approach is designed to isolate and contain cell-level failures so a problem does not cascade through the battery. Public UL9540A testing announced by Cadenza reported that its SuperCell architecture stopped propagation when thermal runaway was intentionally induced inside the battery.
